How do I create a group?

Create a group from the Chats tab: give it a name, add at least one other person, and it's ready.

1. Open the Chats tab and tap the compose button.
2. Choose to create a group.
3. Give it a name, and a photo if you like.
4. Add at least one other person and confirm.

Adding people

Any member can add people — adding is not limited to admins. People who are blocked are skipped quietly rather than causing an error, so if you added five people and four arrived, a block is the likely explanation.

The person who creates the group is an admin. What admins can do — and what the group's share link does — is covered in the article on group admins.

Anyone can leave a group at any time; leaving does not delete the conversation for the other members.

Groups are for people you choose. A workspace's team chat is created with the workspace and keeps itself in sync with the team — it is not a group you build here.
