Child Safety Standards
Sebairo carries messaging, a social feed, live video and a Marketplace, so people create and share content here. These standards set out Sebairo's zero-tolerance position on child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), and exist so that anyone — a user, a parent, an authority — can see where Sebairo stands and how to reach us. They are published by Sebairo and apply everywhere in the app.
1. Our standard
Sebairo does not tolerate child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), the sexualisation of a minor whether real, drawn or computer-generated, grooming or soliciting a minor for sexual purposes, sextortion, and arranging, advertising or facilitating the exploitation of a child. A minor is anyone under 18.
There is no borderline version of this, and no appeal path that treats it as one. Content that sexualises a minor is removed on sight and the account behind it is terminated.
These standards sit alongside the Acceptable Use Policy, which every person on Sebairo agrees to. The minimum age to use Sebairo is 18.
2. What is never allowed
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video or other depiction of a minor in a sexual context, real or generated.
- Sexualising a minor in any form, including text, drawings and AI-generated material.
- Grooming: building a relationship with a minor, or soliciting contact with one, for sexual purposes.
- Sextortion: threatening to share sexual content to coerce a minor.
- Arranging, advertising, offering or facilitating the sexual exploitation or trafficking of a child.
- Sharing, linking to or directing anyone towards any of the above, on or off Sebairo.
3. How to report it
Every piece of content and every person on Sebairo can be reported from inside the app. Open the item — a post, comment, message, profile, live broadcast, memory or review — choose Report, and select Child safety as the reason.
A report marked Child safety is treated as the highest priority: it is moved to the front of the moderation queue and alerts the team immediately, ahead of everything else.
You can also write to the designated point of contact at safety@sebairo.com. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
4. What Sebairo does on actual knowledge
When Sebairo obtains actual knowledge of CSAM or of a credible child-safety threat, it acts without waiting for a schedule:
- The content is removed.
- The account responsible is terminated, and associated accounts are reviewed.
- The evidence is preserved as required for a report to the authorities.
- Confirmed CSAM is reported to the relevant authority (see below), and Sebairo cooperates with law enforcement.
How Sebairo responds to legal requests and preservation orders is set out in the Law Enforcement page.
5. Legal compliance and reporting
Sebairo is operated from the United Kingdom and complies with applicable child-safety laws. Confirmed CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline and, where required, to the relevant regional authority — in the United Kingdom, the National Crime Agency (NCA-CEOP).
Sebairo is not an end-to-end encrypted service: messages are stored in a form the service can read, which is what makes moderation and a lawful report possible.
6. Designated point of contact
The designated point of contact for child-safety matters is Hassan Sebair, reachable at safety@sebairo.com. This inbox is monitored, and messages about child safety are treated as the highest priority.
