Voice and video calls
Call someone from your conversation with them: tap the phone icon for a voice call or the camera icon for a video call. Calls run over Wi-Fi or mobile data — there are no per-minute charges from Sebairo, only your normal data usage.
Group calls work too: starting a call on a group conversation invites everyone in it, and you can add more people to a call while it is running.
During a call you can mute your microphone, turn your camera on or off, switch between front and back cameras, and switch the audio between the earpiece and the speaker.
Who can call you
A setting decides who may call you: everyone, your contacts, people you've messaged, or nobody. The default is people you've messaged. Unanswered calls ring for a short time, then show as missed.
Ringing and tones
The "Ring for incoming calls" toggle controls whether incoming calls ring. You can pick your tones in Settings — the tone gallery has separate tones for calls and for messages, and you can choose your own audio file. See the notifications article for the details.
Video calls use noticeably more data than voice calls — worth knowing on a limited data plan.
