What your application status means

This article explains the statuses a job application can have. An application starts as submitted, moves to reviewing or shortlisted while the employer considers it, and ends as hired or rejected. You receive a notification each time the status changes.

• Submitted: the employer has received your application and has not decided yet.
• Reviewing: the employer is reviewing it.
• Shortlisted: you are on the employer's shortlist.
• Hired: the employer chose you. An employment contract is sent to you in a private chat with the company for you to sign.
• Rejected: the application is closed.

Withdrawing an application

You can withdraw an application at any time before you are hired. Withdrawing removes the application. The employer is not notified, so tell the company yourself if you are already in discussions.

You can apply to a job once. To change what you wrote, message the company.
