What an employer sees when you apply

Updated: 2026-08-27

When you apply for a job, the employer sees your Sebairo profile plus your cover note — not anything from the CV Builder. The app calls this your career card: your name and photo, work title, education, skills, about, city and country, and whether you are open to work.

Your profile is your application. Filling in the work title, skills and about fields is what improves what a hiring manager reads — the CV Builder is a private drafting space that only you can open.

The cover note is the one part you write specifically for each job, so it is worth spending time on.

Open to work

The "open to work" switch appears on your career card, and it is one of the things an advertiser can target an ad at. If you are looking quietly, know that it is a visible signal, not a private note to yourself.

You can apply once per job, and you can withdraw an application at any time; withdrawing removes it.

Your profile is already visible to any signed-in user — applying is not what exposes it. What applying adds is your cover note and the fact of your interest, shown to the people who handle hiring at that company.

What your application status means
Jobs & hiring · A job application starts as submitted, moves to reviewing or shortlisted while the employer considers it, and ends as hired or rejected. You get a notification each time the status changes, so you do not have to keep checking.
Using the CV Builder
Jobs & hiring · The CV Builder in the Jobs section is a private drafting space for your CV. It is never attached to a job application, and employers never see anything you write there.
Finding jobs and applying
Jobs & hiring · The Jobs tab lists openings posted by companies on Sebairo. Browse or search, open a job to read the details, and apply from inside the app.
Who can see your profile
Account & profile · Any signed-in Sebairo user can view your profile. Visitors who are not signed in see only a limited public card on the web.
Signing an employment contract
Jobs & hiring · When a company hires you, the employment contract arrives in a private one-to-one chat between you and the company. You sign it by typing your full name — or you can decline. Only you can sign your contract.
