Setting due dates, times and repeats

Updated: 2026-08-27

Give a task a due date from the task sheet: tap the clock icon, pick a day, and — if it is due at a particular moment — tap Set time and choose one.

A task with only a day is due any time that day and does not show as late until the day is over. A task with a time shows as late the moment that time passes.

Making a task repeat

  1. In the task sheet, tap Repeat.
  2. Choose how often: every day, week, month or year — and the gap, so "every 2 weeks" is as easy as "every day".
  3. For a weekly repeat, pick the weekdays it lands on. The screen shows the rule back in plain words, like "Every 2 weeks on Mon, Wed".
  4. Leave it open-ended, or end it on a chosen date or after a set number of times.

A small repeat arrow appears on the date chip so you can tell at a glance that a task comes back.

Completing a repeating task

When you complete a repeating task, the next occurrence is created automatically, and the row shows the actual next date.

A repeat needs a date to count from, so removing the date removes the repeat too. Clear the date with the small x on the date chip, or with Remove inside the date sheet.
