Is Sebairo end-to-end encrypted?
No. Chats are protected in transit and at rest, but like most messaging apps, Sebairo is not end-to-end encrypted — messages are stored in a form the service can read.
What is encrypted
Everything travelling between your phone and Sebairo goes over an encrypted connection, and stored data is encrypted at rest. Someone intercepting your connection on a café network cannot read your messages.
What end-to-end encryption would change
In an end-to-end encrypted app, only the devices in the conversation can unlock messages — the service itself cannot read them. In Sebairo, the service can. Two practical consequences follow: a message you report can actually be read and reviewed, and a lawful order could compel disclosure of content.
Nobody at Sebairo reads private conversations as a matter of course. Access happens when a report needs reviewing, when a fault needs fixing at your request, or when the law requires it.
For something that would genuinely harm you if any service could read it, use an app built for end-to-end encryption.
