Choosing who can see a post

Updated: 2026-08-27

Every post has an audience you choose when you post it: Public, Followers, Contacts or Only me.

Changing the audience later

You can change a post's audience at any time from the post's menu. The new audience applies from the moment you change it: widening shows the post to more people from then on, and narrowing stops it reaching people outside the new audience. It does not undo the past — someone who already saw the post while it was wider has still seen it.

A poll attached to a post follows its own visibility rules, not the post's audience — read "Adding a poll to a post" before putting a poll on a narrow post.

How do I post to the feed?
Feed, stories & reels · Share a post from the Home tab: tap the create button, write what you want to say, choose who can see it, and share.
Adding a poll to a post
Feed, stories & reels · You can attach a poll to your own post — a question with options people vote on. Only the author of a post can add a poll to it.
Why is nobody seeing my post?
Feed, stories & reels · The most common reason is the post's audience. Open the post's menu and check which audience it has — a post often reaches fewer people than you meant because it is set narrower than you thought.
